Players used the usual items—gloves, shoes, and wristbands—all pretty in pink. Something new this year is this pink chin guard. You could see this pink arm sleeve even from afar. Armbands are also very noticeable and common among players. Those who have long locks wear these hair wraps. Even the team captain wears a pink patch. The officials are likewise in complete uniform. Seen in this picture is a pink ribbon, a pink whistle and white cap adorned with pink ribbon and piping. Gatorade was kind enough to support the cause, too, by sponsoring pink towels for the players. Proof that these are not all for show and that the players are taking the cause by heart is Tampa Bay’s Ryan Sims who is shown in this photo taking a moment to observe breast cancer awareness beside a pink NFL post. Kansan City Chiefs cheerleaders pepped up the crowd not only for the game but more importantly, for the cause. Here’s a photo of their first half performance.
